What are Promptchan Gems?
Gems are credits deducted when a metered action runs. Promptchan uses them across several product areas rather than selling a separate image balance, chat balance and API balance.
The official main tutorial says an image costs roughly one Gem and more advanced options cost more. The API guide says a default API image costs one Gem, with additional cost for high-quality settings or face restoration. The chat guide says messages can cost one or two Gems depending on the model, voice messages cost one Gem and narration costs more. Video costs a handful of Gems, with quality, sound and character use able to raise it.
These are approximate official descriptions. They are not a promise that every action will always have the same cost.

How should you calculate real value?
Do not divide plan price by Gems and stop. Pro includes feature access and some unlimited casual generation, so Gem value is not purely a credit-pack calculation.
Use three measures:
